Many Christians spend their lives chasing Jesus — running from one concert, conference, revival, podcast, or emotional high to the next — hoping to “feel” some dramatic experience, or close to Him again. But Jesus never asked us to chase Him; He called us to follow Him.
The Word says, “As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him.” — Colossians 2:6 (NKJV)
When we chase, we strive. When we walk, we abide. Chasing suggests He’s distant, but walking implies He’s near — right beside you, step by step. The truth is, Jesus isn’t playing hide-and-seek with your faith. He’s Emmanuel — God with us.
Walking with Jesus means learning to slow down. It’s choosing daily obedience over momentary excitement, conversation over performance, presence over pursuit. In the Gospels, Jesus didn’t rush. He walked through towns, He stopped for people, He lingered in prayer. He invites you to do the same — not to sprint after Him, but to walk with Him.
