"The Elephant in the Room"
CHRISTIAN REFLECTIONS: "The Elephant in the Room"
Have you ever seen an elephant in the circus? Typically, the elephant has an iron ring around one of its rear legs. This ring is connected to a chain, which is anchored to a stake in the ground. The elephant can only move as far as the chain allows. Here's the interesting part: that stake is not deeply embedded in the ground. The elephant could pull it out at any time, but it never tries because it has been conditioned to believe that it cannot escape.
Similarly, many people have been misled by the devil in this way. They don’t realize the power in Christ that they possess. Satan keeps them bound by small, insignificant things, while God wants to set them free and help them become who they are meant to be.'
Grace comes through the knowledge of Jesus, who offers the peace we all need—peace with God and with one another. Power also comes through knowing Jesus Christ. However, if you are unaware of God's promises, you won't be able to claim them.
To be free, you need to understand and stand firm on God's promises. To break those of these chains and rid yourself of the elephant in the room.
