Bible Stories for Kids - Easter

Once upon a time, in a land called Jerusalem, there was a very special man named Jesus. He did amazing things like healing people, teaching about love, and showing everyone how to be kind. Lots of people loved Jesus.

But some people were not so kind, and they didn't understand him. They decided to take Jesus away from his friends and put him on a cross. It was a sad day, and his friends were very upset because they thought they'd never see him again.

However, three days later, something amazing happened! Some women who loved Jesus went to the place where he was buried. They found the big stone in front of the tomb was moved, and an angel told them Jesus was alive!

The women hurried to tell Jesus’ friends, and soon everyone learned that Jesus had come back to life. It was a time of great joy and happiness! Jesus had risen, and his love would be with everyone forever. This is what we celebrate at Easter, remembering that love and hope are always stronger than anything else.

## Activity

### Easter Sun Catcher Craft

**Materials Needed:**
- White paper plate
- Colorful tissue paper
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Ribbon or string
- Hole punch

**Instructions:**

1. Cut out the center of the paper plate, leaving a ring.
2. Cut the tissue paper into small squares or shapes.
3. Spread glue on the back of the paper plate ring.
4. Stick the tissue paper pieces onto the glue, filling in the middle of the ring. You can overlap them to create a colorful design.
5. Once the tissue paper covers the open area, let it dry.
6. Use the hole punch to make a hole at the top of the plate ring.
7. Thread a piece of ribbon or string through the hole and tie it to make a hanger.
8. Hang your sun catcher in a sunny window to let the light shine through the colors.
