Bible Stories for Kids - God's Creation
God's Creation
Long, long ago, there was nothing but darkness and emptiness. Then, God decided to make a beautiful world. On the very first day, God said, "Let there be light!" Bright light filled the darkness, and God saw that it was good. He made day and night.
On the second day, God made the big blue sky above the earth. The sky was high and wide, with fluffy clouds floating in it.
On the third day, God made the dry ground and called it land. He gathered the water into oceans and rivers. God covered the land with grass, colorful flowers, and tall trees. He made plants that grew fruit to eat!
On the fourth day, God placed the sun in the sky to shine during the day and the moon and stars to light the night.
On the fifth day, God filled the water with splashing fish and made birds to fly in the sky. The fish swam and the birds sang wonderful songs.
On the sixth day, God created animals to live on the land. He made tall giraffes, stripey zebras, soft bunnies, and strong lions. Finally, God made people—a man and a woman named Adam and Eve. God loved them and gave them the beautiful garden to live in.
On the seventh day, God looked at everything He made and saw that it was very good. He rested on this day and made it special.
God’s world was wonderful and full of life. He created everything with love!
