Love — Our Faith in Action
“For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.” — Galatians 5:6
It’s easy to treat faith like a checklist.
Say the prayers.
Attend the service.
Do a few good deeds.
Hope we’ve done enough to keep God pleased.
But Paul cuts straight through all of that.
None of those things are the point.
He says the only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.
Not religious badges.
Not tradition.
Not performance.
Love.
Real faith isn’t about looking spiritual—it’s about living differently because Christ has changed your heart.
And that kind of love isn’t something we manufacture by trying harder. We can’t force it or fake it. It begins with God. He loved us first. He sent His Son. He forgave us when we didn’t deserve it. When that truth really sinks in, something shifts inside.
Love stops feeling like a duty and starts flowing naturally.
Kindness isn’t forced.
Forgiveness isn’t optional.
Serving others isn’t a burden.
It just becomes who we are.
We begin to see people the way God sees them—not as problems or interruptions, but as souls with eternal worth. Every day becomes another chance to put our faith into action in small, ordinary ways.
Religious performance can fool people. It can even fool us. But love can’t be faked for long. Love is the evidence that Christ is truly at work in our hearts.
At the end of the day, God isn’t asking us to impress Him.
He’s asking us to love like Him.
And when we do, our faith speaks louder than any words ever could.
Walk in faith, rest in grace, and trust the One who walks beside you.
