Our Daily Devotion – Strength in Weakness
“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”— 2 Corinthians 12:9
Most folks want to look strong. Weakness gets hidden away. But God’s way is different. The cross didn’t look like strength to the world, but that’s where real power was shown.
When Paul says, “My grace is sufficient,” he isn’t promising an easy road. He’s saying Jesus will be enough for whatever comes. Sometimes the burden stays, but so does God’s strength. Real faith grows in the hard places, not when everyone is watching, but in the quiet struggle.
God doesn’t throw away broken people. He fills them. The cracks in our lives—sickness, disappointment, failure, rejection—are often where His light shines through the most. Not because we have it all together, but because He does.
Let’s keep this simple. Embracing weakness isn’t about telling everyone your troubles. It’s about giving them to God. It’s waking up and saying, “Father, I don’t have what it takes today, but You do.” That’s how His strength meets us.
There’s freedom in that. We don’t have to pretend or put on a show. We don’t have to carry what only God can handle.
His grace isn’t just barely enough. It’s more than enough, every single day.
Walk in faith, rest in grace, and trust the One who walks beside you.
