Sometimes we need truth delivered plain and simple.

Not dressed up. Not debated. Not softened.

Just stated.

“Listen up… your worth isn’t up for debate. God already settled it.”

In the Marine Corps, when a drill instructor said, “Listen up,” you didn’t negotiate. You didn’t argue. You paid attention—because something important was coming.

Psalm 139 is God’s version of that command.

We spend too much of our lives arguing about our value. Comparing. Second-guessing. Replaying old mistakes. Letting other people’s opinions set the standard. We act like our worth is something we have to earn or prove.

But God never put it on the table for discussion.

Before you ever succeeded or failed… before you wore a uniform, raised a family, built a career, or made a mess of things… God already decided.

Fearfully made. Wonderfully made. His.

I’ve seen strong men and women—soldiers, officers, parents, good people—forget that. Hard seasons have a way of talking us out of our value. But the truth doesn’t change just because life gets loud.

Your worth isn’t determined by your performance.

It was settled at creation.

So stand up straight today. Shoulders back. Head up.

Not in pride—but in confidence.

You belong to God.

And that’s already enough.

So you're dismissed, carry on.

Walk in faith, rest in grace, and trust the One who walks beside you.
