We live in a culture that celebrates methods, programs, and personalities. When someone’s life turns around, it doesn’t take long before a system gets praised, a counselor gets applauded, or a preacher quietly counts another “win.” But real transformation is not the result of human strategy. It is the work of God.

Pastors can preach truth. Counselors can offer wisdom. Friends can walk alongside someone in the dark. All of that matters. But none of us can reach into a human soul and replace a heart of stone with a heart of flesh. That is holy ground. That is God’s work.

When a man truly changes, when bitterness gives way to forgiveness, when addiction loosens its grip, when pride bows to humility — that is not polishing the surface. That is heart surgery. And only the Lord performs it.

We should be grateful to be used as instruments. We should rejoice when lives are restored. But we must never confuse being a tool with being the craftsman.

Any life worth celebrating is a testimony to God’s grace. And He alone deserves the glory.
