Quote of the Day
"Our faith isn't proven by religious performance, but by love in action" ~ ray mileur
Faith has a funny way of drifting toward performance if we’re not careful.
We start out loving Jesus, grateful for what He’s done, and somewhere along the way we slip into keeping score. Church attendance. Volunteer hours. The right words. The right image. We look busy for God and assume that must mean we’re close to Him.
But Paul cuts through all that noise with one simple truth: the only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.
Not activity.
Not appearance.
Not religious effort.
Love.
Real faith shows up in the ordinary moments. It’s patience with your spouse after a long day. It’s kindness to the cashier who’s moving slow. It’s checking on a neighbor, praying with a hurting friend, forgiving when it would be easier to stay bitter.
That’s where faith gets real — not in the spotlight, but in the small, quiet choices nobody applauds.
Religious performance can fool people. It can even fool us. But love can’t be faked for long. Love is the evidence that Christ is truly at work in our hearts.
At the end of the day, God isn’t asking us to impress Him.
He’s asking us to love like Him.
And when we do, our faith speaks louder than any words ever could.
