Quote of the Day - Today I want to address a much-abused and often misunderstood scripture: “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.” — 1 Peter 4:8

My friends, we have to understand this verse correctly. Too many people have been taught that it means love somehow covers their own sins. That’s not what Peter was saying. Only the grace of God through Jesus Christ covers our sins.

Peter was talking about how we treat one another.

That’s why today’s quote is simple, but important:

“God covered my sins with grace.
The least I can do is cover yours with love.” ~ ray mileur

This is the kind of love Peter was calling us to—love that chooses grace over exposure, forgiveness over resentment, and restoration over humiliation.

If believers would truly live this out, many of the wounds inside families and churches would begin to heal.
