Quote of the Day
Prayer is often misunderstood as an attempt to convince God to see things our way. Yet Scripture reminds us that God is not reluctant or unaware. He already knows our needs before we speak them. Prayer, then, is not a negotiation—it is an act of trust.
When we pray, we bring or concerns, fears, hopes, and desires into the presence of a loving Father. But the goal of prayer is not to bend His will toward ours. Instead, it is to place our lives into His hands and trust that His wisdom is greater than our understanding.
God sees the full picture while we see only a small part. What feels urgent to us may look different through the lens of eternity. When we surrender our requests to His perfect will, we are acknowledging that His plan is guided by perfect love, flawless knowledge, and eternal purpose.
This perspective changes how we pray. We can ask boldly, knowing that God welcomes our requests. At the same time, we can rest peacefully, trusting that His answer—whether yes, wait, or something better—is always for our good.
Prayer, then, becomes less about getting our way and more about aligning our hearts with God's. In that place of surrender, we find the confidence and peace that come from knowing our lives are safely held in His perfect will.
