Quote of the Day
"We don't lose everything; we're reminded that everything belongs to God? ~ ray mileur
It’s easy to say we trust God, until something we love is taken from us.
That’s when this truth settles in: we don’t really “own” anything. Not our possessions, not our plans, not even the people we hold closest. Everything we have has been placed in our hands by God, for a time, for a purpose.
That realization can feel unsettling at first. It humbles us. It strips away the illusion of control we often cling to. But buried in that truth is something deeper—something steady and unshakable.
If everything belongs to God, then nothing is outside His care.
What He gives, He gives with purpose. What He allows to be taken, He allows with wisdom. That doesn’t make loss easy. It doesn’t remove the sting of grief. But it does remind us that our lives are not random, and our pain is not unnoticed.
When we begin to see life this way, our grip loosens. We stop clinging so tightly to what was never ours to hold onto forever. And in that surrender, we find peace—not in what we have, but in who God is.
The same God who gives is the God who sustains. The same God who allows loss is the God who walks with us through it.
And that’s where our hope rests—not in what we hold, but in the One who holds us.
