Scripture of the Day
Jesus never pretended life would be easy.
He didn’t gather His disciples and promise smooth roads, healthy families, and trouble-free days. Instead, He looked them in the eye and told them the truth.
“In this world you will have trouble.”
Not might.
Not occasionally.
Will.
That’s real life.
Every parent raising kids, every family carrying burdens, every believer trying to stay faithful already knows that part by heart.
But Jesus didn’t stop with the warning.
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace… Take heart! I have overcome the world” - John 16:33.
Peace isn’t found in a problem-free life. It’s found in Him.
Circumstances change. Kids wander. Plans fall apart. But Christ remains steady.
He has already overcome what we’re still worrying about.
That means we don’t have to live anxious or afraid. We can breathe, pray, and stand firm, knowing the outcome is in stronger hands than ours.
Trouble may visit your home.
But it doesn’t get the final word.
Jesus does.
And that’s where real peace begins.
