Strength for the Climb
Walking with Jesus, Day 17
Strength for the Climb
Those who place their hope in the Lord shall renew their strength.
Isaiah 40:31
Waiting on the Lord is not merely a pause; it is a sacred place where true strength is born.
Just as an eagle does not rise by frantic flapping, but by catching the currents of the wind, we must learn to trust God in the stillness. There are seasons when the climb is steep, the path is tiring, and our strength begins to fail. Yet in those quiet moments spent in His presence, our weariness meets His power.
God does not always remove the mountain before us, but He gives us strength for the climb. He teaches us not to push ahead in our own ability, but to wait, trust, and rise by the power of His Spirit.
Instead of striving against the storm, allow yourself the grace to wait on the Lord. He will renew your strength. He will steady your steps. And in His time, He will lift you higher than you thought you could go.
Let us pray.
Dear Heavenly Father, renew our strength as we wait on You. When the climb is steep and our hearts grow tired, carry us forward by Your Spirit. Teach us to trust Your timing, rest in Your presence, and rise above the storms by Your power.
In Jesus Christ’s name we pray. Amen.
