The Gospel Is Not for Sale

The Gospel is not a product. It is not a membership plan, a premium subscription, or a transaction waiting for a credit card number. It is a gift—freely given, freely received.

Somewhere along the way, people began to treat blessings like they could be purchased. Sow this amount. Give that offering. Do enough good works. Pray the right words in the right order. As if the favor of God could be unlocked like a vending machine.

But grace does not work that way.

Scripture is clear: “For by grace you have been saved through faith… not a result of works, so that no one may boast” (Ephesians 2:8–9). If salvation could be bought, the cross would have been unnecessary.

If blessings could be earned, Calvary would have been overkill.

We don’t give to get. We give because we’ve already been given everything in Christ.

God is not in debt to us. We cannot manipulate Him with offerings, bargain with Him through effort, or impress Him with our résumé. He blesses out of His goodness, not our leverage.

The Gospel levels the ground at the foot of the cross. The wealthy and the poor, the strong and the broken, the polished and the prodigal—all come the same way: empty-handed.

And that’s the beauty of it.

The Gospel is not for sale. It never has been. It never will be.
It is grace.

Be careful, who you take counsel from.

In His love,
