Walking with Jesus — One Day at a Time

“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
— Matthew 6:34

We spend a lot of time worrying about things that haven’t even happened yet.

What if this goes wrong?
What if that doesn’t work out?
What if tomorrow doesn’t turn out the way we hope?

Before long, we’re carrying the weight of days we haven’t even lived.

Jesus speaks directly into that: “Do not be anxious about tomorrow.”

Not because life is easy. Not because trouble won’t come. But because tomorrow is not ours to carry.

God has given us today.

And today has enough to deal with on its own.

The truth is, worry doesn’t prepare you for tomorrow—it just robs you of peace today. It pulls your focus away from where God is working right now and places it on things you cannot control.

Faith brings you back.

Faith says, “God is with me today.”
Faith says, “He will give me what I need for this moment.”
Faith says, “When tomorrow comes, He’ll be there too.”

You don’t have to figure out next week. You don’t have to solve next month.

Just walk with Him today.

Practical Application
Slow down and bring your focus back to today.

What has God placed in front of you right now?
Where is He asking you to trust Him today?

Lay tomorrow down.

And walk faithfully in what’s right in front of you.

Let us Pray

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for reminding me that I don’t have to carry tomorrow today.

Too often I let worry take hold, thinking ahead to things I cannot control. Forgive me for that. Help me to trust You more fully, knowing that You are already in my tomorrow.

Give me the strength to focus on today—to walk faithfully, to trust You in this moment, and to rest in Your presence.

Teach me to release my worries and to place them into Your hands, knowing that You care for me and will provide what I need each day.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Walk in faith, rest in grace, and trust the One who walks beside you.
In His love and grace,
