Walking with Jesus - Your Kindness Doesn't Go Unnoticed by God

"For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister."— Hebrews 6:10 KJV

Think of an act of kindness you have never forgotten. Perhaps someone made time to listen, brought you a meal, visited when you were lonely, prayed when you were hurting, or simply remembered to ask how you were really doing.

They may have gone home believing they had done very little—but you still remember.

Hebrews 6:10 gives us an even greater reassurance: God remembers too.

There are times when serving others feels unnoticed and unappreciated. You keep praying, encouraging, visiting, giving, and helping, yet no one seems to recognize the sacrifice involved. You may even wonder whether what you are doing makes any difference.

But God sees what others overlook.

He sees the phone call you made when you were tired. He sees the quiet prayer no one else heard. He sees the meal you delivered, the hand you held, and the encouragement you offered when you were struggling yourself. He also sees the countless acts of faithfulness you have already forgotten.

This verse is not teaching that we earn God’s love through good works. We serve because He has already loved us through Jesus Christ. Our care for others becomes one way of expressing our love for Him. What we might call “just helping” may actually be our heart saying, “Lord, I love You.”

Jesus made this truth clear:

“Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” — Matthew 25:40

That gives eternal meaning to the ordinary things we do today.

You may never know how much your encouragement helped. You may not see the difference your patience made or learn what happened after you prayed. Not every seed produces fruit where the person who planted it can see—but God does not lose track of a single seed planted in love.

Hebrews 6:10 also says that His people “continue to help.” Faithful service is not one grand gesture made before an audience. More often, it is choosing to love again tomorrow. It is continuing to show up, pray, encourage, and care—even when the work feels repetitive or the results remain hidden.

Perhaps you are tired today. Perhaps you have quietly wondered whether anyone notices or whether your service still matters.

God notices. God remembers. And God is not unjust.

So let the love you have received through Jesus become love that someone else can receive through you. Serve without needing applause. Give without keeping score. Love without demanding recognition.

When the day is finished, take heart: God remembers every act of love—including the ones you have forgotten.

Ask Yourself
Is there someone God has placed on my heart whom I can encourage or help today?

Am I willing to keep serving faithfully even when no one notices or thanks me?

Today’s Challenge
Do one quiet act of kindness today without announcing it or expecting anything in return. Let it be a simple expression of love to God through service to someone He loves.

Prayer
Father, thank You for seeing the things others may never notice. Forgive me when I become discouraged because my service seems unappreciated. Remind me that I am not serving for recognition but because You first loved me. Give me eyes to see those who need encouragement and a willing heart to help them. May the love You have shown me through Jesus flow through my life to others. Help me remain faithful, knowing that You see, You remember, and nothing done in Your name is ever wasted. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Walking with Jesus means faithfully loving the people He places along our path—even when no one but God sees it.
