Walking with Jesus Unashamed
Devotion & Prayer - Walking with Jesus Unashamed
There are moments when living out your faith can feel uncomfortable.
Scripture (ESV) - “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” — Romans 1:16
Maybe it’s a conversation at work. Maybe it’s a friend asking questions you don’t feel ready to answer. Maybe it’s just the quiet pressure of a world that doesn’t see things the way you do.
If we’re honest, there are times we hold back—not because we don’t believe, but because we don’t want to say the wrong thing or be misunderstood.
Paul understood that tension. Yet he made it clear: “I am not ashamed of the gospel.”
Not because it was easy. Not because it was popular. But because it is the power of God.
The gospel doesn’t depend on how well we present it. It doesn’t rise or fall on our ability to explain everything perfectly. It stands on its own power—the same power that took a man like Saul, who once persecuted believers, and transformed him into Paul, a servant of Christ.
That hasn’t changed.
You don’t need all the answers. You don’t need perfect words. What people need is not your perfection—they need to see a real faith lived out in a real life.
Sometimes boldness isn’t standing behind a pulpit. Sometimes it’s as simple as telling someone, “I’m praying for you.” Sometimes it’s sharing a Scripture that carried you through a hard season. Sometimes it’s just living in a way that reflects Christ when no one else is.
People aren’t looking for polished Christians. They’re looking for something real.
And when they see someone who is honest, steady, and unashamed of their faith—that speaks louder than anything else.
Practical Application
-Today, don’t overthink it.
-You don’t have to force anything. Just be willing.
-If the opportunity comes—speak.
-If someone is hurting—reach out.
-If God puts someone on your heart—act on it.
-Let your life quietly, faithfully point to Him.
Let us Pray - Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for the gospel—the power of salvation that changed my life.
Forgive me for the times I’ve held back out of fear or uncertainty. Help me to trust that it’s not about having all the right words, but about being faithful to You.
Give me the courage to live unashamed today. Open my eyes to the people around me who need encouragement, truth, and hope. And when the moment comes, help me to speak with humility, honesty, and love.
Use my life, Lord—not because I am perfect, but because You are faithful.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Walk in faith, rest in grace, and trust the One who walks beside you.
In His love and grace,
