One Body, One Lord“There is one body and one Spirit — just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call — one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all.” — Ephesians 4:4–6My friends, there is no liberal or conservative church in the Kingdom of God.There is no black, brown or white church before the throne of Christ. There is only one Church, one Body, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one Savior — Jesus Christ.The world loves labels. It divides people by politics, race, class, opinions, backgrounds, and preferences. But the cross tears down the walls that sin and pride keep trying to rebuild. When we come to Jesus, our identity is no longer rooted first in party, color, culture, tradition, or tribe. Our identity is found in Christ.That does not mean we all think alike, look alike, worship with the same style, or come from the same background. It means we belong to the same Lord.The Church is not called to reflect the division of the world. The Church is called to reflect the unity of Christ.When we place political identity above spiritual identity, we have lost our way. When we value race, tradition, preference, or personal opinion above the blood of Jesus, we have forgotten who bought us. Christ did not die to create competing camps. He died to redeem one people for Himself.There may be many congregations, but there is only one Body of Christ.And if Jesus is Lord, then every label must bow before Him. Let us Pray: Dear Heavenly Father, forgive us for the times we have allowed worldly labels to divide what Christ died to unite. Teach us to see one another through the blood of Jesus, not through politics, race, pride, or preference. Help us remember that there is one Church, one Body, and one Lord. Fish Out of Water When the Soul Refuses the Living WaterText: John 4:13–14“Jesus answered and said unto her, whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst.”A soul separated from Christ will always struggle for breath, but the soul that drinks from Jesus, the Living Water, will live.A fish out of water is a desperate thing to watch.It flips. It flops. It gasps. It struggles.Not because it forgot how to live, but because it has been separated from the very thing that sustains its life.That is what spiritual dehydration looks like.Too many people are trying to live outside the presence of Christ and wondering why they are exhausted, anxious, bitter, weak, and worn down.The tragedy is not that the water is unavailable. The tragedy is that the thirsty refuse to drink.I. The Soul Was Created to Live in the Presence of GodA fish was made for water. The human soul was made for God.When we are separated from Him, something in us begins to dry out. We may still function. We may still work, talk, attend church, keep a schedule, and appear busy, but inwardly we are gasping.Key point: Movement is not the same as life.A fish out of water may still move, but it is dying. In the same way, a person can be religious, active, and busy, but still spiritually dehydrated.Application: Ask yourself honestly: Am I walking with Jesus, or am I just flopping around in dry places?II. The World Offers Water That Cannot SatisfyJesus told the woman at the well, “Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again.”The world offers many wells:Distractions. Entertainment. Opinions. Busyness. Approval. Politics. Material things. Even religion without relationship.But every earthly well eventually leaves the soul thirsty again.The woman at the well had tried to satisfy her thirst in broken relationships, but Jesus knew her real need was deeper than water in a jar. Her deepest thirst was spiritual.Key point: The wrong water may wet your lips, but it will never satisfy your soul.III. Spiritual Dehydration Shows Up in the LifeWhen the soul refuses the Living Water, symptoms begin to show.We become anxious because we are not resting in Christ. We become bitter because we are not being cleansed by His grace. We become weak because we are not being strengthened by His Spirit. We become exhausted because we are trying to survive in our own strength. We become dry because we are neglecting the presence of God.Key point: A dry soul will eventually produce dry fruit.You cannot neglect prayer, ignore the Word, avoid worship, and starve your spirit — then wonder why you have no peace, no joy, and no strength.IV. Jesus Offers Living WaterJesus does not offer a temporary sip. He offers Living Water.The water Christ gives sustains the soul. It strengthens the weary. It cleanses the heart. It guards the mind. It restores what the world has dried out. It gives eternal life.This is not self-help. This is not positive thinking. This is not trying harder.This is Jesus Himself.Key point: The answer is not to flop harder. The answer is to return to the water.V. We Must Drink DailyThe Living Water is freely offered, but we must come and drink.We drink when we open the Word. We drink when we bow in prayer. We drink when we lift our voice in praise. We drink when we sit quietly in His presence. We drink when we surrender instead of striving. We drink when we return to Jesus instead of running to dry wells.Spiritual dehydration is not fixed by a Sunday sip. We need a daily walk with Christ.Key point: Yesterday’s drink cannot sustain today’s soul.VI. Stop Flopping in Dry PlacesSome people are exhausted because they are trying to survive where God never called them to live.Dry relationships. Dry habits. Dry entertainment. Dry religion. Dry routines. Dry places that drain the soul and pull the heart away from Christ.At some point, we must stop flopping in the dust and return to the Living Water.Closing Challenge A soul separated from Christ will always struggle for breath.But the soul that drinks from Him will live.So come back to the water.Come back to the Word. Come back to prayer. Come back to worship. Come back to the presence of Jesus. Come back to the One who alone can satisfy the thirst of your soul.The Living Water is not far away. Jesus is still offering it.The question is not whether the water is available. The question is whether we will drink.Invitation Maybe today you are tired, dry, anxious, bitter, or worn down. Maybe you have been moving, making noise, and staying busy, but inside you know your soul is gasping.Jesus is not asking you to flop harder.He is calling you to return.Come to Him. Drink deeply. Let Him refresh what the world has dried out.Closing Prayer Dear Heavenly Father, forgive us for trying to survive without staying close to You. We confess that we often run dry because we neglect the very water You freely offer. Draw us back to Your Word, Your presence, Your Spirit, and Your grace. Refresh our hearts, restore our strength, and teach us to drink daily from the Living Water. Help us stop running to dry wells and return fully to Jesus, the only One who can satisfy our souls.In Jesus’ name, Amen.

These qualities—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—are not simply a checklist for Christian living. They are the living evidence of a deep, abiding relationship with Jesus, revealing His character through us.The fruit of the Spirit is not a list of Christian manners we try to polish up for Sunday morning. It is the evidence of a life connected to the Vine—Jesus Himself.A tree does not strain to produce fruit. It produces fruit because it is alive, planted, nourished, and connected to the source. In the same way, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control do not grow in us by human willpower alone. They grow as we walk with the Lord and yield ourselves to the work of the Holy Spirit.That matters because the world is watching more than our words. People may hear what we say about Jesus, but they often believe what they see in us. Do they see love when others are difficult? Peace when life is uncertain? Patience when plans fall apart? Gentleness when we could be harsh? Self-control when the flesh wants the last word?The fruit of the Spirit is not produced in perfect people. It is produced in surrendered people. It grows in the heart that says, “Lord, not my way, but Yours.” It grows when we stay close to Jesus, when we spend time in His Word, when we pray, worship, forgive, serve, and obey even when it costs us something.A dry branch cannot bear fruit. Neither can a disconnected believer. But when we abide in Christ, the Spirit begins to cultivate something in us that the world cannot manufacture and the enemy cannot counterfeit.Today, ask yourself this simple question: What fruit is my life producing?Let this question inspire you to examine your connection to Christ. Remember, fruitfulness is not achieved through striving, but through surrender. As you cultivate intimacy with Jesus, the Holy Spirit will shape your life in ways that impact others, drawing them to the beauty of His presence in you. Not just in church. Not just when things are easy. But at home, at work, in conflict, in disappointment, and in the quiet places where only God sees.Because the fruit will always reveal the vine.

Walking with Jesus — Daily Devotion Do Everything in Love“Do everything in love.” - 1 Corinthians 16:14 “Do everything in love.”Four simple words, we live by.But those four words capture the heart of what it means to follow and serve Christ.Paul did not say, “Do some things in love.” He did not say, “Do the easy things in love.” He did not say, “Do things in love when people deserve it, appreciate it, or return it.”He said, “Do everything in love.”When Paul wrote to the Corinthian church, they were dealing with division, pride, arguments, spiritual comparison, and people choosing sides. They had knowledge. They had gifts. They had strong opinions. They had religious activity. But without love as the foundation, all of it became noise.That is still a warning for us today.We can be right and still be wrong in spirit. We can speak truth without love and wound people instead of helping them. We can serve, teach, post, preach, give, lead, and labor — but if love is missing, we have missed the heart of Jesus.Love does not mean pretending everything is fine. It does not mean ignoring sin, avoiding hard conversations, or refusing to stand for truth. Biblical love is not weakness. It is strength under the control of grace.Love changes how we speak.Love changes how we respond.Love changes how we correct.Love changes how we forgive.Love changes how we treat people when they are difficult, wounded, stubborn, or unkind.The truth is, we do not love because it is always easy. We love because Christ first loved us. We love because we have been shown mercy. We love because God loved us when we were at our most unlovable.Today, in the ordinary moments and the difficult conversations, let this verse guide you.Before you speak, ask if love is leading your words.Before you respond, ask if love is shaping your tone.Before you act, ask if love is pointing others toward Jesus.Because love is not just something Christians are supposed to show once in a while.It is the way we are called to live.Do everything in love.

Walking with Jesus: Spiritual DehydrationIt is hot outside today, the kind of heat that reminds you very quickly how much the body needs water. You can ignore thirst for a little while, but not forever. Sooner or later, dehydration begins to show. Strength fades. Focus slips. The body starts warning you that something essential is missing.The same thing happens spiritually.I have been thinking lately about how many of God’s people are suffering from spiritual dehydration. Not because Jesus has failed them. Not because the Living Water has stopped flowing. But because too many have gone too long without drinking deeply from the well.We are busy, tired, distracted, burdened, and stretched thin. We are trying to survive the week without enough time in the Word, without enough prayer, without enough praise, without enough worship, and without enough quiet fellowship with the Lord. Then we wonder why our souls feel dry.Jesus promised Living Water. He told the woman at the well that whoever drinks of the water He gives will never thirst again. That does not mean life will never be hard. It does not mean we will never walk through heat, pressure, grief, disappointment, or battle. It means we were never meant to face those things disconnected from Him.A fish out of water is a pitiful sight. It flips and flops, frantic and desperate, trying to survive in a place where it was never designed to live. The movement may be intense, but it is not life. It is panic. And if we are honest, that is what many believers look like during the week.We are flipping and flopping through life, reacting to everything, exhausted by everything, overwhelmed by everything, because we are trying to live outside the presence of God. We were created to walk with Him, abide in Him, draw from Him, and be refreshed by Him. When we neglect the Word, prayer, praise, and worship, we are like a fish out of water. We may still be moving, but we are not truly thriving.Spiritual dehydration does not always show up as rebellion. Sometimes it shows up as weariness. Sometimes it shows up as irritability.Sometimes it shows up as discouragement, anxiety, bitterness, impatience, or a quiet distance from God that we cannot quite explain.But the answer is not more frantic movement.The answer is to return to the water.Return to the Word. Return to prayer. Return to worship. Return to praise. Return to the presence of Jesus. He is not hiding the water from us. He is still inviting thirsty souls to come and drink.The world will keep turning up the heat. Life will keep bringing pressure.But Jesus still offers Living Water to every thirsty heart.So today, before we flip and flop our way through another dry week, let us come back to the well. Let us drink deeply from Christ. Let us stop trying to survive outside the place where our souls were made to live.Because the thirsty soul does not need more noise.It needs Jesus.
