One day, Jesus and His disciples were by the Sea of Galilee. A big crowd of about 5,000 people followed Jesus to listen to His teachings. As the day went on, everyone became very hungry.Jesus asked His disciple, Philip, “Where can we buy bread for all these people to eat?” Philip was confused and said, “It would take a lot of money to buy enough food for everyone!”Then another disciple, Andrew, spoke up. “There is a boy here with five small loaves of bread and two fish, but it’s not nearly enough for all these people.”Jesus smiled and said, “Have the people sit down.” The people sat on the grassy hillside, ready to see what Jesus would do next.Jesus took the loaves, gave thanks to God, and began to break them into pieces.
