A significant concern regarding today's false teachers is their strong focus on extra-biblical revelations, dreams, visions, and prophetic words, which they promote as sources of spiritual guidance and truth. It's essential we remain discerning in our pursuit of genuine wisdom.

We frequently encounter individuals who present themselves as wolves in sheep's clothing, advocating for direct revelations from God and urging others to pursue extraordinary spiritual experiences. This focus implies that believers may come to rely on personal encounters with the divine, potentially overshadowing the objective truth found in Scripture. It’s important to approach these ideas with discernment and prioritize God’s Word as our foundation.

The Bible powerfully affirms that Scripture is wholly sufficient and complete, serving as a reliable guide for all believers in their faith and practices. As Paul beautifully stated, "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work" (2 Timothy 3:16-17). God's Word stands as the ultimate authority, reminding us of the importance of honoring its integrity (Proverbs 30:5-6; Revelation 22:18-19). Let us embrace this truth with confidence.

By promoting the quest for extra-biblical revelations, misguided teachers divert individuals from the inherent authority and sufficiency of Scripture, fostering a mindset where personal experiences overshadow God’s clear and timeless truth. Let's remain rooted in His Word!

A personal note or observation - Did you know that the number one selling book in Christian bookstores over the last few years, was written by an author who claimed that she needed more than the Word?
Ironically the Book has been rewritten and ungone several revisions, whereass the Word of God, is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.

May the amazing grace of our Lord, Jesus Christ, the love of God and the presence of the Holy Spirit be with you.

In His love...ray
