Once upon a time, there was a great leader named Moses. Moses loved God and listened to His guidance. He was chosen to help free the Israelites, God's people, from slavery in Egypt. The ruler of Egypt, called Pharaoh, was very mean to the Israelites and wouldn't let them go.God told Moses to ask Pharaoh to let His people go. Moses did as God said, but Pharaoh said, "No!" God then sent ten plagues to Egypt to show Pharaoh His power. After the tenth plague, Pharaoh finally let the Israelites leave.Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt. But then, Pharaoh changed his mind! He sent his army to chase after them, hoping to capture them again.The Israelites were frightened. They reached the Red Sea and didn't know what to do—there was water in front of them and Pharaoh's army behind them! But Moses said, "Don't be afraid. God will save us!"God told Moses to raise his staff over the sea. When Moses did, a strong wind blew, and the waters of the sea parted, creating a path of dry land for the Israelites to cross. They walked through the sea safely, the waters standing tall like walls on either side.Once the Israelites were safe on the other side, God made the waters return to their place, covering Pharaoh's army that had followed them.
