They may hold the belief that grace comes without cost, which can result in an alarming indifference to their own sins. However, this perspective on grace is not the profound gift that was won at the Cross; rather, it represents a diluted version of grace, one that they have created to suit their own desires and justifications.The concept of cheap grace in man's interpretation suggests a shallow approach to faith, where the sermon of forgiveness is delivered without the weight of genuine repentance; communion is experienced devoid of the introspection that confession demands; baptism is performed absent the commitment that true discipleship entails; and absolution is granted without the necessity of personal accountability.
