Quote of the Day
"I have never been in awe of anything I have done for God, but I live in constant awe of everything He does through me." ~ ray mileur There have been seasons when I worked hard, planned carefully, and even prayed faithfully—yet still managed to get right in God’s way. I didn’t mean to. I wasn’t trying to take credit or play God. I just started steering instead of following. I’ve learned the hard way that God doesn’t need my hustle as much as He needs my surrender. The moment I stop trying to control outcomes and start committing the work itself to Him, things change—not always instantly, not always easily, but always purposefully. My job isn’t to impress God with what I can do for Him. My job is to stay humble enough, open enough, and obedient enough to let Him do what only He can do through me. We see in scripture, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5–6 (ESV).When I stay out of His way, His way gets a whole lot clearer.Walk in faith, rest in grace, and trust the One who walks beside you.
"Don't get too busy doing things for God, that He can't use you."
Quote of the Day! - Today's quote of the day reminds us that activity is not the same thing as obedience. We can fill our days with good works, church work, even holy work—and still crowd out the very space God needs to work through us. Busyness has a way of putting God on our calendar instead of keeping Him on the throne.God isn’t after exhausted servants running on fumes. He’s after yielded hearts that listen before they act. When we rush ahead of Him, we may accomplish much—but miss the one thing that matters most: alignment with His will.Sometimes the most faithful thing we can do is slow down, be still, and let God interrupt our plans. Use flows from relationship. Power flows from surrender. Fruit flows from abiding. If He can’t get our attention, He can’t direct our steps. And if He can’t direct our steps, we may be working for God without ever walking with Him.Busy hands don’t impress heaven. Open hands do. If you don't remember anything else today, please remember, "Don't get too busy doing things for God, that He can't use you."Walk in faith, rest in grace, and trust the One who walks beside you.In His love and grace, ray mileur“Helping believers walk closer to Jesus, one day at a time.” www.raymileurministries.com

Walking with Jesus

Quote of the Day
“True spiritual growth isn’t found in mystical experiences, but in dwelling deeply in the truth God has already revealed.” ~ ray mileurReflecting on this quote, I am reminded of how easily we can be drawn to novelty or the allure of spiritual excitement, especially when our hearts are longing for reassurance or answers. There is a temptation, sometimes subtle, to prioritize personal experiences or emotions over the steady truth of Scripture. But I’ve learned that real spiritual maturity comes from anchoring myself in what God has already spoken, even when it feels less dramatic or immediate. This quote challenges me to resist the urge for “quick fixes” in my faith journey and instead cultivate a deeper relationship with God through His Word. It’s a gentle but firm reminder that, while experiences can be meaningful, they must always be tested against the unchanging truth of Scripture. Lasting growth, peace, and wisdom come not from chasing after the next big thing, but from faithfully returning to the truth God has graciously given us. Walk in faith, rest in grace, and trust the One who walks beside you. Quote of the Day

Is God's Word Enough?
Why chasing new revelations can pull us away from biblical truth A serious concern in today’s church is the growing emphasis some false teachers place on extra-biblical revelations—dreams, visions, and so-called prophetic words—treating them as sources of spiritual guidance and truth. These claims, often dramatic and emotionally charged, can capture the imagination and longing of believers who yearn for personal encounters with the divine. Yet, while God is sovereign and can work as He wills, it is essential that we remain discerning and grounded in genuine wisdom. The allure of fresh revelation sometimes draws people away from the rich depths of Scripture, tempting them to seek quick fixes or special insights rather than the steady nourishment of God’s Word. True spiritual growth is not found in chasing after every new "word" or mystical experience, but in dwelling deeply in the truth God has already revealed. More and more, we encounter individuals who present themselves as wolves in sheep’s clothing, urging believers to pursue extraordinary spiritual experiences and direct revelations from God. They may speak with charisma and confidence, weaving stories of miraculous encounters or secret knowledge, but their words often sow confusion and uncertainty. This kind of teaching subtly shifts trust away from the objective truth of Scripture and toward subjective personal encounters—experiences that cannot be tested or verified. When experience starts to outweigh God’s Word, error is never far behind. Our faith must rest on what God has already spoken, not on what someone claims God told them privately. In the clamor of competing voices, we are called to return, again and again, to the unchanging promises of God’s Word. There we find anchor and assurance, no matter what winds of doctrine blow through the church. The Bible clearly affirms that Scripture is wholly sufficient and complete—fully capable of guiding believers in faith and practice. God has not left us to wander in confusion or to piece together truth from scattered, uncertain sources. Instead, He has graciously given us His Word as a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. As Paul wrote:“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16–17)God’s Word still stands.
Let Us Pray
Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for Your living and unchanging Word, which guides our steps and anchors our faith. Help us to remain rooted in Scripture and not be led astray by voices that promise more than what You have already given. Give us discernment to recognize truth, humility to submit to Your Word, and courage to stand firm when the culture drifts from it.Lord, if You have used this message to encourage our hearts today, stir within us a desire to share that encouragement with others. Open our eyes to the people around us who may be weary, searching, or in need of hope. Teach us to be faithful messengers—not of our opinions or experiences—but of Your truth and Your grace.May everything we do point others to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. In His holy name we pray, Amen. Walk in faith, rest in grace, and trust the One who walks beside you.In His love and grace, ray mileur“Helping believers walk closer to Jesus, one day at a time.” www.raymileurministries.com If this message encouraged you, please share this link with someone who might need it today. Is God's Word Enough?

Our Scripture of the Day
"God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord." 1 Corinthians 1:91 Corinthians 1:9 reminds us that our faith rests not on our grip on God, but on His grip on us. “God is faithful” isn’t just a comforting phrase—it’s a rock-solid promise. The same God who called you into fellowship with His Son is the same God who sustains you when your strength runs thin, your plans fall apart, or your body slows you down. You didn’t stumble into this life with Christ by accident, and you won’t be carried through it by luck. This verse also gently corrects a modern mistake: we treat faith like a contract we maintain, when in truth it’s a covenant God upholds. Your walk with Jesus isn’t held together by your perfect obedience, flawless prayers, or unbroken momentum. It’s held together by God’s unwavering faithfulness. When you feel weak, distracted, discouraged, or behind, this verse doesn’t scold you—it steadies you. It says, “You’re still Mine. I’m not going anywhere.”So today, rest in this: the God who called you is not fickle, forgetful, or halfway committed. He finishes what He starts. He keeps what He claims. And He walks with you all the way through—one faithful step at a time. Walk in faith, rest in grace, and trust the One who walks beside you. In His love and grace, ray mileur “Helping believers walk closer to Jesus, one day at a time.”
